The Kahal Kadosh Shalom dated from 1577 is the oldest Jewish synagogue in Greece, and the sole remaining synagogue on the Island of Rhodes.
The Rhodes Jewish Museum adjacent to the Synagogue, relates 2000 years of Jewish life on the island of Rhodes. Historical documents, artifacts, music, tradition engulf visitors moved by the tragedy that befell upon this community.
Visitors from around the world celebrate joyous events (Bar/Bat Mitzvah or wedding ceremonies) in our Synagogue.
Rhodes currently hosts no Rabbi. For your event we can arrange a Rabbi to fly in from Athens, or you may also make your own arrangements.
